Path of Science: International Electronic Scientific Journal

The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the problems and prospects for improving the legal regulation of blockchain technology in Ukraine in the context of the digital transformation of the state and society. It examines the features of blockchain technology as a decentralised mechanism for storing and verifying data, capable of ensuring transparency, information immutability, and increasing trust in legal relations. The current state of regulatory and legal support for the use of blockchain in Ukraine is analysed, revealing its fragmentation and lack of a systematic approach. The need to develop a comprehensive legal model for regulating blockchain technologies, taking into account international experience, the principles of legal certainty and the protection of human rights, is emphasised. Particular attention is paid to the legal force of smart contracts, the responsibility of decentralised system entities, the protection of personal data, and cybersecurity. It was concluded that the effective implementation of blockchain technologies is possible only through a harmonious combination of technical solutions and legal norms that balance innovative development and legal stability.
